Old historical house built in the 1500 century, new renovated (2010), in the middle of the village core, near the schoolhouse and the supermarket (Volg). The Atika-apartment is located on the third floor and has two bedrooms and 2 bathrooms, a big living- and dining room with kitchen and chimney are located on the upper floor. Beautiful view. Whether on the 580km (360 miles) of hiking paths strewn over all the mountains or by mountain bike along 400km (250 miles) of fabulous trails: the Upper Engadin offers a superb network of paths and trails amidst an unspoilt Alpine landscape and the inspiring lake plateau. Four flow trails on the Corviglia guarantee a perfect flow. Equally popular among sports enthusiasts are the Upper Engadin lakes; kiting, sailing, windsurfing, stand up paddling – the possibilities are virtually endless. The expanse of the inspiring high-lying valley can be experienced in a particularly striking way on the two 18-hole golf courses in Samedan and Zuoz. And besides the wide range of sporting options, visitors can take advantage of the first-class cultural activities on offer, such as a visit to a museum or to one of the numerous art galleries in the various villages.  In winter, the ski areas of Corviglia, Corvatsch, Diavolezza and family friendly Zuoz invite ski and snowboard enthusiasts to revel in 350 kilometres (218 miles) of the finest powder snow. Cross-country skiers will find over 220km (137 miles) of perfectly groomed trails in the Upper Engadin and the side valleys. The winter hiking paths and cross-country ski trails on the frozen Upper Engadin lakes are characterised by their light, sunshine and space amidst inspiring Alpine scenery. Those who would like to enjoy the tranquillity and beauty of the snow-covered forests can explore the side valleys of Val Roseg, Val Fex or Val Bever on 150 kilometres (90 miles) of winter hiking paths. Visitors who prefer to have everything in view, meanwhile, will delight in the breathtaking vistas on the panorama hiking trails high above the lakes on Muottas Muragl.  Families can bask in the Engadin sun during a ride in a horse-drawn carriage into the Val Roseg or Val Fex, or race down the mountainside into the valley on the winding, 4.2km (2.6 mile) long toboggan run on Muottas Muragl. Welcome to the Engadin.

Location description: Zuoz – customs and traditions in the idyllic mountain village Zuoz is regarded as the most beautiful village in all of the Upper Engadin. Numerous patrician houses, such as the Chesa Planta, proudly display their typical oriel windows and sgraffiti façade decorations, while mysterious alleyways invite visitors to discover Zuoz’s eventful past. Meanwhile, a modern splash of colour is provided by a beautifully laid-out 18-hole golf course, an inline skating route and a varied network of hiking and mountain biking trails. A particular highlight in Zuoz is a visit to Badilatti, the highest-lying coffee-roasting plant in Europe. In winter, the cross-country ski trails of the Engadin Ski Marathon run directly past the village, while the family-friendly ski area offers skiing fun for all ability levels.

    “Positiv: Sehr angenehm. Gut eingerichtet. Sonnig. Schöne Aussicht über die Dächer Richtung S-chanf und Piz d'Esan. Im Dorfzentrum gelegen. VOLG-Laden, Metzgerei, Bäckerei-Konditorei, Café und Restaurants gleich um die Ecke. 4 Min. zu Fuss zum Bahnhof.”

    “Da wir ein ausserordentliches Glück mit dem Wetter hatten, haben wir schlussendlich relativ wenig Zeit in der Wohnung verbracht. Abgesehen von der Treppe zum Wohnbereich, können wir diese Wohnung bestens empfehlen, insofern kein Anspruch auf einen Garten- oder Aussenbereich vorliegt. Es besteht Handlungsbedarf für die Aktualisierung des Informationsordners und insbesondere für die Installation eines Handlaufes in der Treppe vom Schlaf-zum Wohnungsbereich (z.B. wie in der Treppe des Hauses). Die Frage der Haftbarkeit des Vermieters bei einem Unfall ist offen. Positiv: Ideale Wohnung mit zwei Badezimmern/WC für zwei Ehepaare. Sehr gut ausgestattete Küche. Schöne Aussicht im obersten Stock. Lebensmittelladen, Bäckerei und Metzgerei in nächster Nähe. Restaurants mit reichhaltigen Angeboten. Negativ: Der auf Ihrer Webseite angepriesene gute Kontakt mit der Ansprechsperson war inexistent. Haben die Kaution nicht abgeben können. Keine Rückmeldung auf Fragen, die wir per Mail und SMS gesandt haben. Der Preis des Vermieters für das Parken eines Wagens während einer Woche ist höher als jener in der naheliegenden, neuen, unterirdischen Garage. Die steile Treppe, die vom Schlafbereich zum Salon und Küche führt, ist für ältere Personen und Kinder ungeeignet und gefährlich, da kein Handlauf besteht. Der Ordner mit Informationen und Angaben zu technischen Aspekten (Geräte, usw.) ist nicht aktualisiert.
    Es wäre von Seiten des Vermieters und/oder von E-Domizil korrekt gewesen, vorgängig mitzuteilen, dass eine lärmerzeugende Baustelle (Renovation eines grossen Hauses im Zentrum von Zuoz) in ca. 75m Luftlinie während der Sommerperiode besteht. Sonst wäre die Lage sehr gut.”
