Quietly located holiday flat on the ground floor

Welcome to the Kirchmatte in the hilly Emmental!
The Kirchmatte with the holiday flat (1-2 pers.) on the ground floor is situated in a quiet and sunny location on the eastern edge of the village centre of Schangnau. You have a separate entrance to the holiday flat, a large sun terrace with a direct view of the foothills of the Alps, the "Hohgant". The surrounding meadows and the colourful garden invite you to linger and relax.
The Emmental is a wonderful, well-known hiking area with well-signposted hiking trails. Spring is slowly arriving here too. The first flowery splashes of colour around the house help to whet your appetite for a hike! The hilly landscape is a true biker's paradise in summer and autumn!

Public transport, the post bus stop, a shop and a restaurant are just a 2-minute walk from the house.

Our strength: We know the area and will take the time to give you tips on how to make your holiday attractive!
If you wish, you can park your car in a garage for CHF 30 per stay.

Nice to know: we produce both electricity and hot water on our photovoltaic system on the roof. The flat is wonderfully warm in winter. The radiators are individually adjustable. Winter tyres on your car are essential from October for your safety.

Excursion possibilities: The beautiful Emmental village of Langnau can be reached in 20 minutes and is well worth a visit. "Gluscht" for sweets? The biscuit factory "Kambly" with its spacious factory shop is on the way! Perhaps you fancy a legendary Kemmeriboden meringue? The Marbachegg, accessible by cable car, is well worth a visit for the views. All places can be reached by public transport and these are just a few of the many ways to enjoy your time in the Emmental.
