This is a Fincallorca holiday home.
The charming, 25 year old, 400m2 family home, tourist licence number, 10 beds, ETV 5930, is a solar powered country property. Son Capella is located 2 km from the town of Porreres in the centre of the island of Mallorca and has a magnificent 10,000 m2 garden with an 11 x 5 m saltwater pool. It has its own well with drinkable water.
You enter the house from the south into the entrance hall, where there is a WC on the left under the stairs, which leads into a 25 m2 living room, to the east and straight ahead to the north into the atrium with skylight, from where you enter an office and a bedroom to the west, the kitchen with dining room and open terrace on the right (east) and the office to the north.
The 25 m2 bedroom on the ground floor has its own bathroom with a shower, two washbasins and a bathtub. One of them has a 200 x 180 metre bed in which a baby cot can be placed if required.
On the stone staircase to the left of the main entrance is a landing with a library. Here there is a large selection of books in English, French, German and Spanish. From here there is access to a single bedroom with washbasin to the south above the entrance door, which is furnished with a 140 x 200 metre bed.
To the east and west are two 60 m2 apartments. We have house bells to call people from upstairs because it's so big. There are ceiling fans and mobile fans as it is very hot on the first floor in summer. The house has no air conditioning.
The first, west-facing apartment has two single beds and a double bed (150 x 200 metres), a bathroom with shower and a kitchenette.
The second, east-facing flat has a single bed and a double bed 120x200m, a bathroom with shower and a kitchenette.
There is 300 litres of solar-heated water, which takes its time (up to 5 minutes) to reach all the bathrooms. Only one shower at a time!
If you close the shutters during the day, the house with its 45cm-thick corridors stays nice and cool.
In the centre of the garden there is a covered terrace with a dining table for 8 people under a mulberry tree. Further down in the garden is the henhouse with fresh eggs every day, depending on the season.
The east-facing terrace with a dining table for 12 people is ideal for an evening meal after the heat of the day, overlooking the pool and garden.
The owner of the property will be staying in the guest house to assist guests if required.
