Enjoy an extraordinary sleeping experience and relax in the new camping pods, on the edge of the former film location "Die andere Heimat" by Edgar Reitz, in the small Hunsrück village of Gehlweiler.

Framed by the Soonwald and the Simmerbachtal, the accommodation exudes a real feel-good atmosphere in the middle of the Soonwald-Nahe Nature Park. Extensive deciduous forest areas and breathtaking views of the surrounding Hunsrück landscape make the hearts of nature lovers and those seeking peace and quiet beat faster. Just right for switching off and relaxing.

The camping pods are ideal for those who travel light and offer themselves as cheap and attractive accommodation for hikers, cyclists, motorcyclists and those looking for a small holiday in the countryside. Here you can recharge your batteries. The Camingpods are idyllically located on the outskirts of the municipality of Gehlweiler and are only a few minutes' walk from the town centre.

At the community center of Gehlweiler there are two food vending machines, which are equipped with regional delicacies. From meat and sausage products to alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks to the topographical cycling and hiking map of the Hunsrück-Middle Rhine region, which is perfect for planning your next day trip, no wishes remain unfulfilled. Everything can be easily purchased by card or cash.

In almost untouched nature, the stay in the 4.8 m long and 2.4 m wide camping pods becomes an extraordinary experience. In total, up to three people can be accommodated in one of the two camping pods. In the back of the accommodation there are two single beds (each 80 x 200), which offer excellent sleeping comfort after a busy day.

The lounge area in the front area of the camping pod offers enough space with a small seating area, consisting of a table and two stools as well as a bench, which can be converted into a third sleeping possibility. The pods in rustic bow construction are equipped with light, sockets and an infrared heater. In addition, a bench is available in the outdoor area to enjoy the magnificent view.

Both shower facilities and separate toilets are located in close proximity to the two camping pods. Your car, motorbike or bicycle can be parked in the immediate vicinity. The price includes beds made, use of sanitary facilities and final cleaning. Please bring your own towels.

The camping pods can be booked with or without breakfast. To round off the vacation experience, the breakfast package can simply be added when booking the overnight accommodation.
