Welcome to our retro vacation apartment "Zeitreise" in Kirchberg, the oldest town in the Hunsrück.

The vacation apartment is located on the ground floor of a two-family house in a quiet side street, right on the edge of town and yet only a few minutes' walk to the city center.

It offers ample space for two people and is ideal for those who love the charm of the past.

You can do your daily shopping on foot from the vacation apartment, if you wish:

Just a few steps from the vacation apartment, the beautiful nature begins with numerous hiking and cycling paths inviting you to extensive exploration tours.

The starting point for the Traumschleifchen Karrenberg is only 1.7 km away, and the Traumschleife Diller Burgpfad with its beautiful Elf Path is just 5.6 km from the vacation apartment.

The Freiherr-von-Drais cycle path, starting at the water tower, runs around the town of Kirchberg.

Kirchberg, centrally located in the Hunsrück, also offers an excellent starting point for car excursions in all directions: in about 30 minutes you can reach the beautiful Rhine-Moselle region or the Geierlay suspension bridge in Mörsdorf.

For those who still wish to experience the big city, cities like Mainz (Mainz Cathedral and Gutenberg Museum), Wiesbaden (Biebrich Palace and Neroberg with Nerobergbahn), Trier (Porta Nigra and Trier Cathedral), or Koblenz (Deutsches Eck and Ehrenbreitstein) can be reached in about an hour's drive.

Our cozy retro holiday apartment "Time Travel" - a loving mix of the 1950s/1960s and 1970s up to modern times - invites you on a unique journey through the decades.

Each room is furnished with vintage furniture, and wallpapers from the 50s and 60s add nostalgic accents here and there. Particularly beautiful is the preservation of the original tiles from the 60s in the entrance area, hallway, and kitchen. Also preserved and restored from the 60s are the wooden floors in the kitchen and the adjoining room.

Upon entering the apartment, you are welcomed by the small, inviting hallway with its charming vintage coat rack and colorful wallpaper. From the hallway, you have access to both the living kitchen and the bathroom. The bathroom is modernly renovated and furnished - a stylish oasis that offers modern comfort amid the retro world.

The kitchen area is functionally furnished. Here you will also find a radio from the 50s/60s that rounds off the atmosphere with nostalgic sounds.
Additionally, the kitchen features a separate storage room - practical for storing your groceries and supplies - as well as a built-in cupboard where the vacuum cleaner and cleaning supplies are stored.

Leaving the kitchen, you enter the adjoining room, a space that invites you to linger with charming vintage accessories.

From here, you can access the bedroom. It is equipped with a cozy double bed from the 70s, mattresses and comforters from the 21st century :), a wardrobe from the 60s, and a television with satellite receiver - perfect for relaxing after an eventful day.

We have consciously opted out of Wi-Fi to provide you with a decelerating break from everyday life. Treat yourself to a digital detox. Do without digital devices like smartphones, computers, and tablets to focus on other activities, reduce stress, and promote your mental health. Spend your evenings like in the old days - with books, puzzles, vinyl records, and classic board games.
